Trump and Nucleus

We are talking about the Trump blog, and we are talking about it as a simple blog, but as usual superficiality reigns supreme in journalism.

Investigating more (I was curious to see how safe it would be, and what platform they were using for such a controversial figure) I discovered several things instead.

This is not a Blogging platform, but a CRM platform developed ad hoc for the election campaigns by the Republicans, called "Nucleus".

Nucleus, or “campaign nucleus” ( https://www.campaignnucleus.com/ ) offers a whole series of CRM services, which seem to come from the experience of the last election campaign.

The blog, therefore, is only a facade towards the voter, offered by a software built to manage electoral campaigns on social networks, on the internet, and as far as I see also tickets for events.

This thing is interesting. It is interesting because it is a lesson learned: not if you remember when a trump meeting failed because on TikTOk many teenagers bought their tickets online and then didn't go to the event.

Here, apparently it will no longer be able to happen, because Nucleus has a tracking system that can manage event ticketing without contacting external managers or generalist platforms.

But there are other things they know about “lesson learned”. The big social media have, in fact, expelled Donald Trump himself. But they didn't expel his supporters (otherwise they would have to expel practically 50% of Americans).

The Nucleus system, as far as I can see, assigns the user (i.e. the Trump supporter) the task of using their account to spread Trump's messages on all social networks.

But as if that weren't enough, use a tracker, as all software that does this job do. Having a tracker means that Nucleus' big data system is able to… demonstrate, numbers in hand, if the election campaign is being sabotaged by Facebook & co.

Behind this callback system, however, Nucleus has its CRM / Big Data system, which no longer depends on social media data. Ultimately, therefore, Trump does not trust the projections made with social media data and prefers to have his own.

What they do is, by posting on the social network, they place an identifier like:

https://twitter.com/share&url=https://www.donaldjtrump.com/desk/desk-sg5yzrmuvr

that " desk-sg5yzrmuvr " allows, being unique for sharing, to know where the reader comes from, that is, from which user who has shared which and how many users arrive.

The same does the system with Facebook. Nothing strange for a multichannel CRM / CMS, they are basic things, but Trump will now be able to demonstrate, with numbers, if in addition to him, social networks are also blocking his supporters.

The numbers of Nucleus.

Trump and Nucleus
It is not the "Trump blog", it is "the CRM of the Republicans".

As you can see, this is a platform that is not just "Trump's blog", it seems a platform used by all Republicans to manage electoral campaigns, apparently at every level (with 600 candidates we also include senators ) and if we go to breakdown the specifications, we see that it is a platform born from the lesson learn of the last elections. And it is impressively well designed.

It is impressive how high the number of Media Credentials is. It means that among influencers, journalists, bloggers & co, 98 thousand people automatically receive updates and messages from the candidate, BEFORE all other media.

It is therefore not a question of winning the battle of the media by having more in favor, but by giving them the advantage of arriving FIRST on the declarations. That is, the other media will only be able to react.

How does it work?

In practice, it establishes privileged channels with supporters, volunteers, friendly journalists, internet influencers and even paper mail.

Now, I doubt that paper mail is an advantage, but the rest says there will be, in fact, more informed people and less informed people, simply because some will get the information BEFORE others.

In short, there will be no more media attacks on the last speech, because when leftist journalists get to what Trump said, all the media space will already have been taken by his supporters.

Lesson learned in the last election.

Trump and Nucleus

I put together the CRM function with the date one because the CRM part allows, together with the data part, to modulate the support of volunteers and donors based on actual data. In short, the staff of a senator running for the elections will be able to decide where to send the volunteers (with whom they can communicate easily) based on the measurement of the data.

It is not a strange thing for a CRM, but what is striking is the coherence of the project, which seems to be designed both around the generic needs of each election campaign, and around the mistakes made in the last campaign.

Trump and Nucleus

This is an even more interesting part, because there is a word: “self contained”. It means that either you are in or you are out. If you are inside, you will always go to the right rallies in the city halls, you will always be invited to the right chats with your candidates and organizers, etc.

If you are not inside, you will not see any of this and you will know what happens late. This, in a media world like today, means that you will NEVER be in a position to attack a candidate. You are late: the opponent has prepared his base long before you knew there was something to criticize.

An interesting thing is the “approvals” function of the CMS part, which allows candidates to coordinate political messages WITHOUT ever contradicting each other, on a national scale.

Trump and Nucleus

Let me be clear: none of this is new. It is a CRM, which incorporates CMS functions, and which seems customized for the party starting from the problems it had in the last elections.

It is an evolved version, if you like, of Morisi's “beast”, as it would be if Morisi knew 5% of what he says he knows.

And the thing that leaves you stunned is to read in the Italian press that it is the "Trump Blog".

It's not "Trump's blog," pile of idiots. It is the Republican party's electronic campaign platform.

For much, much, much less you have talked about the "beast of Morisi".

All you see is….

"Trump's blog".

As usual, you didn't fucking understand. And now I'm curious to see, after days of talking about the “trump blog”, how long it will take for the Italian press to notice Nucleus.

Which is not a platform to make a blog, but the CMS part of an "on steroids" CRM.
