The mountain of shit theory

Vaccinations, the ghost of past nonsense.

Vaccinations, the ghost of past nonsense.

I read about Draghi's indignation at learning that young people "without conscience" are getting vaccinated rather than "protecting the weakest", which are the elderly. And it is interesting, because up to this point no one has ever said that this problem existed, or rather: no one has NEVER acted as if this were the problem.

I was among the many to say that the best solution would have been to close the elderly (that is, those at risk) at home, leaving the green light to the young, in order to run the country and protect the weakest.

Since among the "elderly" there are the ruling classes, or rather the 20% that owns and deals with 50% of the national wealth, and since they did not want to lose competitiveness, the answer was "shut up! fool! Can't you see that a lot of young people are dying too? ”.

And in the newspapers, which belong to those old financiers who did not want to be segregated at home, the stories of young lives cut short by the coronavirus began to rain. To the point that, reading the Italian newspapers, one would have said that Italy suffered from its own special virus, specialized in killing young people.

And so we preferred to use unlikely regional closures (as if the virus respected the borders of the regions), colored closures, rules that make no sense, and everything, absolutely everything, to prevent the old people from being locked up in the house, losing the their competitive advantage over young people, set free. To the point that it was said that young people, to protect the old, should not go to school: in short, in order not to infect the grandparents, you live in the same house as your grandparents (because in the end the working parents did this).

After all, as I wrote, isolating the old in Italy is like proposing to isolate the nobles in the France of the Sun King. They would have taken it badly.

But the point is that to justify the refusal of an OBVIOUS strategy (isolating the elderly, that is, the weakest) it was said that the virus "also kills a lot of young people". This has been repeated for months to justify delusional closure policies.

Now we come to the "turning point", because there are vaccines. And now everyone wants to finish first. And what do we discover? We discover that the virus practically kills only the elderly: which is why they must be vaccinated first. We discover that the news of young coronavirus deaths has disappeared from the front pages.

Correct: it was known from the beginning.

And after repeating for months that a quarantine only for the old did not work because "the virus also kills the young", now we discover that the old must be vaccinated because "they are the vulnerable".

And then we are surprised if those who can, even young people, even the 35-year-old psychologist, try to get vaccinated: didn't you say that the virus affects even the youngest? What are you surprised at?

This, Dr. Draghi, is the price to pay. This is the sound of a ghost: the ghost of past nonsense.

Because of the two only one is true:

  • the virus practically kills only the elderly and the sick: in that case, the best strategy was to isolate them at home and leave the others free, and now they must be vaccinated first.
  • the virus kills everyone: in that case, no lockdown for the elderly, but now everyone has to be vaccinated.

tertium non datur.

And this is only the beginning, because soon the other lies you have said will come to a head. Or rather, the things you have hidden.

  • the virus protects for 6/8 months. It means that next January you will have to resume the vaccination campaign in April. IN THE SAME ORDER.
  • And it means that, since the rest of the world will not be vaccinated at the same time, tourism will not restart for 3 or 4 years.
  • And it means that, next year, one of the vaccine-resistant variants (such as the Japanese) will likely require TWO different vaccines. Or forget the tourism from Japan.

Here, you are deluding the population of a "return to normalcy" that will not come. You will use the natural decline in infections that occurs in the summer to delude them that normalcy returns. Then in the fall you will live normally. In January, when vaccination coverage begins to lapse, you will find that either you have a new lockdown or a new vaccination campaign, or both.

Certainly tourism will not "return to normal" for 3/4 years.

You said that, right? You warned them, right? In my opinion not: the average person believes that the covid vaccine is like the polio vaccine, once done you are good for life. You haven't told him how long he immunizes.

You promised normal in March. I wrote that before the end of the year there was no talk of it. You saved AstraZeneca with its delays, but remember you haven't run out of vaccine yet, not even Pfizer. You couldn't have gone faster anyway.

You said normal would be back for the summer, hinting at June. Then it became the end of summer, so September. Will you be honest saying that we will go at the end of the year, and at the end of the year we will have to start again because the immunity of the first vaccinated will begin to decline?

Did you have the courage to tell the population that this virus will become annual, and there will be a vaccination campaign every year, and therefore since the world will be uneven, tourism will not restart?

No, keep babbling about "imminent return to normal".

This ghost will also present his account later.
