Covid, a script already written. Bad.

I had already written that the vaccination campaigns would arrive at the end of 2021 / first half of 2022, and apparently I was right. European governments have lowered the bar (in practice, all vulnerable people will be vaccinated by November, but not all possible populations), and in addition there is already the first mutation, the Japanese one, which bypasses existing vaccines.

The one against covid, it seems, is one of those wars that (to paraphrase Orwell) is not made to be won: it is made to last forever.

In practice, for another 3/4 years we will do a cat / mouse race with the virus: if only the virus immunizes for a period ranging from one year to eight months, and since the rest of the world will still be infected, the vaccination campaign will last for years and years.

In this situation, the only European strategy is to further develop production capacity and to stop exporting vaccines once and for all. It is not acceptable, and with the arrival of summer it will no longer be, that entire regions (Piedmont such as NRW, as well as others in Europe) remain without vaccines because the Astrazeneca on duty announces further cuts.

BUT why doesn't Europe shut down exports? The official excuse is that since China, Japan, India, USA and UK have done it, the whole world depends on our exports. And since we are good, then we continue to export.

The problem is different, in my opinion. The problem is called "Atlantism". The truth is that we have an atlantist ruling class, the latest generation of old atlantist thugs in Europe, and they are letting Europe play for the express purpose of losing.

Why'? You see it in the newspapers: nothing helps to understand the plans in place as much as reading the narrative that accompanies them in the newspapers. Because there is no politics without mass media, and the Atlanticists of Europe are now too old for social networks. Many are on facebook, but they watch TV and read newspapers, unlike the new generations.

The plan, according to what filters, is this: Europe comes after the USA and the UK with vaccinations, and to this end they will make all possible mistakes. At that point, since it has nothing to vaccinate at home, the US and UK pharmaceutical industry turns its (over) production to the European market, et voila ':

This is the plan (rather devoid of imagination and surprise, I would say) of the atlantists.

But this plan has a very small flaw. It has no hope of working.

Not because I say that history never repeats itself twice the same way. Problem is, this is the fourth time. And the second one has already failed. And also the third.

Remember the end of the cold war? Western logic was to play liberators. People arrived in the former USSR with bundles of money, bought everything and brought well-being and freedom. And Russia would become "western".

What went wrong? Historians say that something went wrong in Russia, but that is not the case. The real problem is that the USA, let alone the West, were the same as in 1950. They were no longer Fonzie's Americans. They were those of Gordon Gekko.

And being Gordon Gekko they made Russia their wet dream: a kind of open-air brothel, to be plundered and raped for two lire. A gigantic pattaya with lots of girls for sale and western waste dumps, where there was neither the promised progress, and freedom was only the law of the strongest.

Result: Putin arrives. Not a big hit, I'd say.

Then it happens again. Do you remember the arrival of the liberators in Kuwait City and Baghdad, and in Kabul? They had to arrive in the midst of that Bedouin people, teach them the rights of women and consumerism and so on, IRAQ members would become Western-style democracies. But the US was no longer Fonzie's. They were Madoff's.

Result: in Kabul the Taliban are about to return to power because the population can no longer stand being a firing range, in IRAQ there is a government of religious inspiration, democracies are not mentioned at all, and the USA are leaving, leaving the hot potato in the hands of NATO allies.

That is, the script no longer works, and it does not work for a clear reason: the US is no longer Fonzie's. The monstrous appetite of their bags transforms everything into a slum made up of people for sale, underworld and degradation, with a small area of ​​the privileged within a completely gentrified gated community.

Now they want, in their catastrophic lack of new ideas, to play the liberators' card in Europe again, thanks to a political class that still sings Vamos a la Playa for so long that it smells of the 80s. Only the shoulder pads under the jacket and the Europe are missing.

All the US has to offer politically today is the sequel, the sequel, the sequel, the sequel, the second world war.

And so now we will find ourselves living in the sequel to "The Liberators Are Coming".

The problem is that, among the liberated, there is no hunger that pushes you to accept some rape in Ciociaria in exchange for a bar of chocolate. Sure, there's hunger and unemployment, but it's not that hunger yet.

And you can see it immediately: since Sanofi in France announced its production of the vaccine, mysteriously appearing "suspicions" of the public against both AstraZeneca and Moderna. (which is practically identical to Pfizer). Italy is also aiming for self-sufficiency, because it is known that these vaccination campaigns will last at least another 3/4 years, and the business is great.

And it is still unclear how long EMA will be able to deny the production of Sputnik vaccines in Europe: even today the excuse of plant inspections is ridiculous, given that the Russians are looking for partners to produce the doses in Europe. How long can they still hold?

Second, the US is starving. And they don't tolerate competitors. But while European competitors were still in ruins in 1950 and you could force Ford against VW, today VW has surpassed (as did the Renault / Stellantis group) Tesla's electric car sales. They will hardly be able to impose their industries. China is closed, Europe has its own industry, the US only accepts to take without giving.

The green wave in the EU is strong, and the liberator dialectic that brings you extreme consumerism, which worked in 1950, will not even work in politics.

This narrative has already failed, and when reality is rowing against you, there is little you can do with narrative.

So I just expect one thing:

• The well-groomed political class like Sandy Marton will fail, despite playing with the best cards, because this is how the boss orders.
• The master will arrive, but no one will jump on his neck for a chocolate bar.
• The master will become fierce and authoritarian, shouting "freedom!" while he makes his pigs comfortable.
• We will begin to discuss limits on freedom.
• The European putin of the situation wins.

Scene already seen. And it will repeat itself, not so much because history always repeats itself: it is because SEQUEL always repeats itself.

Also because, as happened to the first Putin, the new European Putin will have consensus in a very simple way: to point out to everyone that this Atlanticism, this gambling to lose, has cost Europe about 400,000 deaths so far, and the number will go up again.

The Italians have not yet calculated that Boris Johnson's games with Astrazeneca, with the resulting delays, have cost the country about 50,000 deaths.

But soon someone will calculate it for them.
