Dossier Mitrokhin 2, the Harvest.

I do not think many of you were present when the scandals broke out relating to the so-called "Mitrokhin Dossier", part of the "Mitrokin Archive". However, they are relevant now, because the secret services (ie Copasir) are being asked to verify which journalists are engaged in propaganda, and by whom.

And the problem must touch naked nerves, because Giannini has moved. And the funny thing is that Giannini at the time of Mitrokhin, was there and how.

Let's go step by step. What the hell am I talking about?

After the dissolution of the USSR, the state in Russia was in pieces, it could not contain its own integrity, and misery was everywhere. Thus it happened that documents came out of the Soviet archives, which then the Western newspapers paid for and published.

A kind of Wikileaks before assange was cool.

Some were true, others were false, and therefore had to be verified. One of the most explosive, which was verified by looking for some radio transmitters hidden in Italy by the KGB, was the Mitrokhin Dossier, the Italian part of the Mitrokhin Archive.

It was important for two reasons:

  • all the transmitters indicated in the dossier were found in the places where the dossier said they were, except one on which a building had been built. So he was telling the truth.
  • many of the money payments were traced, much to the embarrassment of one party, then PDS, son of the PCI, who had said he had never taken money from the Russian Communists.

However, this dossier also had other protagonists: newspapers and journalists. And a long list of reporters who were in the service of the KGB came out. (there were also politicians and parliamentarians).

This was so important that a parliamentary commission of inquiry was created to hide everything and manipulate it. In those days, it was the only way to stop the magistrates, "investigate" and provide a sweetened version of the story. In short, as was done with the P2.

Giannini is in bad faith because he cannot but remember the Mitrokhin scandal, and he cannot but remember how many of his colleagues were in the pay of the KGB

A person who lived during that period and who remembers it finds nothing strange in the fact that the Russians have placed their men among the journalists, and probably also in the television hierarchies. Let me be clear, this does not always mean that a person is loyal to one: among the side effects of the Mitrokhin list it was seen that some journalists (including a very fat one) were BOTH on the CIA and KGB payrolls.

When I hear Giannini who is scandalized by this request for intervention by COPASIR, I have doubts, as they say today. Because in general people get angry that way when someone proposes to investigate: the Northern League, who are very against drugs, get excited if someone asks to do a thorough check on the parliamentarians to see if they snort coca.

In short, it is a reaction, as I see it, "a little too nervous".

If the KGB had infiltrated the mass media at the time of the cold war (as the FSB infiltrates social media today) I do not see what is so scandalous in asking the secret services to verify that journalists are not paid by hostile state bodies.

So I repeat: Giannini who gets up in this way I know so much of a straw tail.

But now we have to ask ourselves some questions. By asking COPASIR to investigate and to ask who are the Russian infiltrators in the mass media landscape, who should be investigated?

It is not a simple problem. To give an example, Beppe Grillo is a member of the Order and it cannot be denied that his blog is influential, at least for his own. Just as journalists are also those who speak on the radio (often), and then we should also include online newspapers such as Open! , and at this rate we would end up investigating newspapers such as Byoblu, if not the most influential bloggers.

I don't know if I'm influential, but to be sure I'll put my hands on: I'm paid by Olga.

The secret agent Olga. (Sunglasses are for those who notice that he has a face.)

And when I write I always and only write things that Olga likes.

Having said that, and my bias revealed, I wonder what could possibly happen if it turns out, I know, that some are paid by the Chinese, some by the British, some by the USA, and therefore yes, some by the Russians too.

And I'm not even sure Olga doesn't pay other bloggers.

We were saying, what could happen? Well, judging by the other time the scandal broke out,

an unspeakable mess.

In fact, in Italy, an unspeakable mess breaks out every time:

  1. you discover things that no one knew
  2. you discover things that everyone knows.

Now, that no one knows with what criteria Foa's RAI was made, it seems to me impossible. That no journalist knows who pays to write a given article when a colleague writes it seems equally absurd: we are obviously in case number TWO.

After all, even last time no one was struck by surprise: they were paid by the KGB, for example:

Here you will understand what a surprise! (Cit.)

So, I would tell Giannini to stay calm ™.

We all know who you work for.
