The mountain of shit theory

Alpha Male, Beta Male, Release Candidate Male, Build Male.

I wasn't sure who this Tate was. I had dealt with Peterson a little (and I don't have a good opinion of him), but at a certain point since Tate had an argument with Greta (or rather, with her mother) then everyone talks about him, and to talk about something you have to know him. And so: who are all these males who call themselves "alpha males", and then who are the "sigma", and who the hell is Tate?

Let's start from the beginning. Terms like “alpha male” and “beta male” are now common parlance, so we often use them to mean the dominant one and the one being dominated. The denomination, however, gives the whole thing a certain scientific flavor, much better than saying "the half saw" and "the minchiadura".

But why does it look scientific?

In reality, even if for a short time, it was. It happened that an ethologist (one who studies the behavior of animals, a certain Rudolf Schenkel of the University of Basel) took a certain number of wolves in captivity, noticed that they "socialised" and wondered how the their company.

What I observed was that dominant characters emerged, less dominant ones, losers, loners and more. The observation was correct, in the sense that the ethologist analyzed very well what he saw.

It coincided and still coincides with what you can observe in some kennels or dog farms with a certain turnover. Indeed, in dog farms, in addition to the alpha male, also the alpha female emerges, which has completely peculiar and interesting characteristics.

So far, all science flowing. But not really.

It happens that at a certain point our ethologist has the possibility of observing real wolves in real packs in nature. And he discovers one thing: when they are not a collection of elements captured at random and put in an enclosure, wolves form family-type packs. The two older and more respected individuals have children, who respect them at first but then take their place, and then again, and again and again. No alpha element.

The ethologist in question spent years and years apologizing to the scientific community for the blunder, and for not having considered the difference between real packs of wolves and scattered members collected in an enclosure. The terminology also exists in other species, but does not have the same meaning: for bonobo apes, the alpha ape of the pack is the female who most actively exhibits homosexual behaviors, and the male is the one she most often accepts. as a sexual partner. Since bonobo sexuality is what it is, the rest of the hierarchy is, shall we say, at least entertaining. But it does not resemble the one attributed to wolves.

Ultimately, that is, the definition of the alpha male is a figure of speech that has made its way into the language, as well as that of beta, omega and so on.

And although it was born in a scientific environment, and still exists for species other than the wolf, what happens is that in other species it takes on a meaning so bizarre as to be unrecognizable. In the gorilla, apparently the alpha male is the one that exhibits the erect penis more often while beating his chest, but he has "colleagues", therefore an alpha group may exist, in the jenas it is the female that smells more like anabolic and has the biggest clitoris (but there are no alpha males), et cetera.

Onto this thing came something that is the American cult of ignorance. They took "alpha element" as a "winner" and started taking courses on how to be a true alpha, what it means, and why you have to be a testosterone idiot to be a male.

And since an excessive schematization ends up not explaining what is seen, they have added categories such as "sigma male", with such an ambiguous description that it is like saying "scorpion" or "Capricorn ascendant".

There are therefore, on the American scene, characters who have elected themselves as "alpha males". The definition of "alpha" follows the criteria of American success: a lot of money, a lot of gym, a lot of violence, entrepreneurs or sportsmen, many lovers, and all the American paraphernalia.

This definition does NOT obviously follow the specific qualities of the person. While I was trying to figure out who they were, I came across a guy who came to Europe convinced that he was going to make a massacre, and he found himself whining that the courier often delivers things to him at the collection point, which also forces him to walk for two hundred metres, and that in supermarkets no one in Europe puts the groceries in your bag – like in the USA – and you have to “do it yourself”. Furthermore, according to him it is indecent to have to take public transport (he rented a house in the center because without an attic you are not really alpha) instead of using the car because you have to go to the bus stop and on bad weather days you get wet $2,000 shoes, and other fun stuff.

And thank goodness it was an alpha element.

However, there is a plethora of these characters who go around babbling on TV shows and saying things feminists don't like, exhibiting more and more of what is termed "toxic masculinity," an American name for masculinity and enough.

Before continuing with Tate's description, let me clarify my bias:

there is no “toxic masculinity”. There is only masculinity. If masculinity disgusts you, admit you're a lesbian, find a girlfriend and stop poisoning men's lives with your whining.

And no, effeminating males isn't a solution. No one should be forced to admit that they have a feminine side, just because you are a lesbian and you cannot admit that you have a gay side.

I am very willing to fight for your right to be a lesbian, but I don't accept having to become feminine just because you like women but you want to be with a male for social reasons.

Having said that Tate is a successful ex kickboxer, which requires a violent narrative per se, who is enriched and very young he started enjoying life: luxury cars, travel, etc. He inserted himself into an alt-right audience, and began appearing on TV explaining his full righteousness.

Since for the American there are only two states of matter, i.e. lib or con, and so greta is "lib" for him, he began to explain to Greta that he has so many cars, all polluting, and Greta's mother told him answered very badly, etc.

I honestly can't tell you who “won” in the sense that Greta would become an “alpha female” at that point, because on the one hand Greta responded well by 4chan standards, but on the other hand she leveraged the “ more centimeters of dick = more male” , which is not exactly qualifying as a “victory of free thought”.

After all, the environment in which he lives and the culture of reference also qualify the alpha male: in the IT world, it is often the length of the bash commands that are written, or the inconvenience of the Jurassic editor that is used , to be alpha.

In any case, Tate "was" an alpha male, in the sense that he was arrested in Romania on charges of trafficking in girls, without a single girl reporting him. This is lost in the mysteries of Romanian justice, one of the most corrupt in Europe, but on the other hand we know what happens to those who cut off Greta.

In any case, being in a Romanian prison, even as a kickboxing champion he will have his work done in defending himself, therefore having been eliminated from the scene he will hardly still be definable "alpha", unless having resisted the Romanian prison he becomes a new test of strength.

Are there still elements like Tate? In the USA yes, and it's big business:

  • Courses that teach you to become alpha and to rediscover the alphaness in you.
  • Since alphas are only sissies, I raced to become “sigma” or discover the “sigma” in you.
  • Courses to become "players", that is seducers of American women: all you need is having money, or pretending to have it. But with style and testosterone.
  • All the business and paraphernalia to reach these very high peaks. What does it cost.

Honestly, to me it just seems like the equivalent of a "detox diet", or a "neanderthal diet", or all the fucking diets and fads that come from the USA, so I gladly archive it under the heading "Americanized".

I think these are symptoms of a lost male looking for his identity? The problem in the USA is not that males have lost their references or not: I could say that American women have lost them too, just as I could say that they have lost all kinds of qualities, since American culture is flattened on a single value, which is money. And since to be "alpha" you must also be rich (a few tens of dollars and a course are enough to deceive yourself), that's all.

The thing I notice though is that if "alpha male" indicates a social position, well, society has a HUGE amount of these labels: admiral, general, president, king, emperor, chancellor, executive, boss, secretary, director, count, baron, prince, bishop, pope, marquis…. so on and so forth.

I might ask: Was Field Marshal August von Mackensen an “alpha male?”

I would say, just for the WW1 Hussar hat. If you can wear that hat with that mustache, you definitely ARE an alpha male. No doubt.

And was Princess Victoria Louise of Prussia, daughter of the Kaiser, an alpha female? always for the merits of the hat? Absolutely yes, and the hat always testifies to it. And then, I mean, "first lady" is cool, but "Daughter of the Kaiser" is a different scale.

But we could also ask whether the president of the United States is, or whether Steve Jobs is, or whether Bill Gates is, for example. And the answer is that yes, according to Max Weber's definition they are "leaders". But we haven't heard any of them refer to themselves as "alpha males," for example.

This definition reminds me much more of Briatore, who has an extreme need to define himself as an "entrepreneur" because all he has done is have money, but not enough to compete with Gates for money or with an admiral for power or position hierarchical.

Let's face it: the hierarchy of these alpha males that I see in the US is simply a hierarchy invented for the purpose of giving even a crack-up boxer like Tate the chance to feel on par with generals, admirals, bishops, presidents, CEOs and anyone else who has achieved a REAL position in life.

In short, the alpha element is Francone from the village who is the strongest of all, while somewhere Tyson wins championships. We know well that Francone wouldn't last two seconds against Tyson, but Tyson is a champion, while Francone was only "the alpha element of the village".

An invented hierarchy that does not leave its own sphere, made for people who have never managed to find a place in any real hierarchy.

In short, the alpha elements are only the Briatori of the long fuck.
