The mountain of shit theory

American problems.

American problems.

In these days, yet another “woke” delirium of the summer is going to press, this time in the press. Apparently, Mrs. Simonetta Sciandivasci has decided to appropriate the American fashion woke and wrote an absurd rant against the "boomers".

Now, I imagine the boomers on some planet are all rich, opulent, overflowing with power and teeming with selfish patriarchy. I've never lived in the US, so maybe they're right to hate boomers, the Satan Generation so much.

The problem, however, is that La Stampa comes out in Italy. And in Italy we don't say “boomer”: the translation is, to be precise, “retired”.

American problems.
The average Italian boomer, or "retiree".

Because the trick of calling retirees "boomers" only serves one thing: not to make it clear immediately, with clear evidence, that this is a fucking speech.

Living abroad I find myself speaking English for 40 hours a week, and German in the remaining time, to interact with the locals. My brain then translates automatically. For example, if you tell me "the escort is a decent job" my mind feels "the bitch is a decent job", and then the acrid smell of bullshit rises immediately to my nostrils. Likewise, when I hear "boomer" my mind automatically puts us "retired", and of course, the acrid smell and so on.

Let's see what these people say about retirees.

The psychotic rant of Mrs. Sciandivasci is difficult to understand, being disconnected both on the logical and on the narrative level. Apparently, the retiree's fault is being male and old.

This is inherent in the concept of "pensioner", and it would have been enough to avoid the translation of "pensioner" with "boomer" to understand it. However, it seems that the boomer, that is, the retiree, is to blame for being male and old.

I can agree that the Italian ruling class is made up of old men, and that it is guilty of many things, but I cannot say that if the leaders are old males, then all the old males are leaders. My father, a retired carpenter, actually conducts very little, other than a few home repairs.

The rest of the guilt of the pensioners would be to intervene on Facebook using the "e '" written with the apostrophe, the slander of the pensioner. (to hear that monument to sanity that is the Sciandivasci).

Honestly, I doubt it.

First, except for very rare cases, retirees don't spend much time on social media. And I don't think they have the problem of attacking the Sciandivasci with the “e '“. Looking at them on Google, it seems that Italian retirees have other problems, including:

  1. poverty'. This is the category, the elderly male, who most often resorts to the soup kitchens of the poor, and who falls ill with absolute poverty more frequently.
  2. get decent care. To observe google, it seems that the second problem of retirees (ie boomers) is that of having a prescription within a reasonable time. And then to overcome the waiting times without dying in the meantime.
  3. go shopping. Italian pensions are, in the vast majority of cases, rather poor. This means that the “boomer”, who according to Sciandivasci has “taken everything”, does not seem so well-off in the end. Either "everything" was very little, or they didn't take it.

And let's be clear: this reality bath happens automatically only because I have translated the term “boomer” with “pensioner”, a translation that if not formally, at least materially follows the social phenomenon.

This is not the first time this has happened, the Berlusconi affair appears very differently if we translate "escort" with "whore", in the sense that the dinners appear much less elegant, and a whole series of things that belong to that "amarican fashion" which allows you to drink a mug of shit as long as you call it a “sewage cocktail”, without realizing that you look like a fool with a terrible breath.

And so we discover that the wicked Italian pensioners, very powerful and very rich, spend their time insulting Sciandivasci on Facebook, signing themselves with the “e '“. You can find this monument to mental health here: " https://www.lastampa.it/specchio/2022/07/10/news/cari_boomer_maschi_e_vecchi_equesto_che_siete-5434247/ "

In itself, it is clear: Mrs. Sciandivasci lives on social media for too long a day, so she has absorbed kilos of woke “culture” from the USA, and claims that it is as valid in Italy as in the USA. Forgetting the "slight" differences between the two countries.

Since building castles in the air you end up finding an idiot who pays you the rent, Mrs. Paola Mastrocola comes to paint this mental health monument in bullshit color, who informs us that yes, it's all true, retirees have done (before retiring), this and that, and in particular the sixty-eight.

We boomers, masters failed for fear of authority and not for a desire for power
We have freed our children from burdens and duties in the illusion of exempting them from the difficulties of life. The 1968 people traded their ideals, we …
American problems.

Precisely those sixty-eight who instead of "boomer" used "matusa", and who invented this thing of speaking in contempt of the elderly. A painted of inconsistency on the monument (or perhaps the headstone) of mental health.

I don't know which of the two is more stupid: but to say stupid you risk a lawsuit, so I can try with "douchebag".

However, if we remove the woke fashion part of this whole wave of shit, we can observe some facts that give Mrs. Sciandivasci wrong.

The first point is that when those who are now "retired" got rich, it was a democratic enrichment. Wealth was MUCH better distributed than it is today. Perhaps it was a problem to give an ego to all those people, but the basic data does not change: the wealth made by the boomers was distributed much better. Pardon: The wealth made by today's retirees was much better distributed.

The unfair distribution of wealth has come recently, and I don't see many retirees at the top. I see the Zuckerbergs, I see the Elon Musks, I see the Bezos: all little people who today possess immense wealth, while poverty is rampant, and who do not owe their rise to pensioners.

They owe it to you, whiny, young, approved idiots.

It was you fucking millennials who did not accept any other cell phone outside of Apple, or if you really, Samsung. And then you complain that all the opportunities in the mobile world are in the USA. It was you fucking millennials who turned Black Friday into the new Christmas. Then you complain that you can't find work in the shops. It was you, and old shit like me waving at you to stop, to consider a living zero anyone who was not registered in the <new social cool of the moment>. Then you complain that on the social cool of the moment you are insulted, stalker and mobbed Abbestia.

And then today you whimper that wealth is not distributed equally, in the face of concentrations of MONEY that exactly correspond to the convergence of your approved tastes.

You have built this world. The world changes too fast to blame people born 70 years ago. You can find the roots of today by digging a little deep, at most 20, 30 years. Elon Musk hasn't been rich in 50 years. Bezos wasn't rich 50 years ago. Zuckerberg wasn't even born 50 years ago.

This spike in inequality is recent. It has no deep roots, except in the fact that entire generations of young people, in a few years, have gone through this:

American problems.

To this:

American problems.
There will be only one.

And now you complain that there is no longer a cell phone company in Europe? Now you complain, after buying ONLY one brand of cell phones, that all the wealth is concentrated in China and the USA, where (coincidentally) the aforementioned cell phones were made?

And this is how you have concentrated all the wealth of the market in a few hands. Running to the aid of the coolest. And it is for these approved tastes that few hands have all the money: you buy all the same identical things, use all the same identical services. You are the single-brand generation.

There is not a single superplayer on the market that hasn't become such in the last 25 years. And you made them superplayer, with your approval.

And this applies to everything: at a certain point, in your monstrous single-brand narcissism, you chose 5 companies and took them to the top, creating monstrous entities more powerful than a modern country, in an orgy of homologation that was not seen from the Ford Model T in any black color.

All the gigantic concentrations of money that have become unbeatable in the last 25 years, you have created them, concentrating your purchases on a few brands and on a few services.

And now you complain about the inequalities YOU HAVE CREATED? Do you complain if they insult you on Facebook, forgetting that if YOU had not made it a monopolist, and had competition, Facebook would be forced to intervene in order not to lose users to a competitor?

Just 25 years ago, seven or eight search engines existed and fought on equal terms (WebCrawler, Lycos, Altavista, Excite, Yahoo, Ask.com, AOL Search, MSN search the ones I remember). Then you arrived, and google remained: everyone on the coolest, because you have a personalized mobile phone !!!

Today's world is neither the son nor the grandson of retirees. Today's world has arrived quickly, at the tremendous speed of uncritical approval that only the generation of millennials, and later, show they have.

And it is this homologation that pushes you to speak as if you were Americans, to do what Americans do and say what Americans say, forgetting that "boomer" in Italy and Europe is called "retired", and that if you try to formulate the same thoughts using "pensioners" instead of "boomers", you would be overwhelmed by the dutiful laughter of those who still have their sanity.

But he doesn't have an iPhone.

Come on, come on: only buy Tesla cars. Shut down the European auto industry. There are only 27 million unemployed. Only Tesla is cool, you only have to buy Tesla. Then in 15 years, when Europe will drown in unemployment, you will come to accuse the retirees (who at least chose between two dozen brands) of having created the Tesla Monster. Forgetting Musk's age, of course.

Everyone jump into the metaverse. Let everything buy with Meta. And when you no longer have hope of opening a shop, when you can only sell your ass on video on ManyVids because everything else will be bought on Meta, when the very concept of reality is in doubt, you will come to blame to retirees. Oops, to the boomers.

And we'll laugh in your face twice as loud. But you won't see us because we won't be on Meta.

And finally, I advise you to take your medicines in the evening, because accusing retirees of being the cause of that circle of young trillionaires who dominate the world today does not need explanations: it needs treatment.
